about
The Garden is the introduction to Lava La Rue's upcoming EP "4:44."
4:44 follows a narrative of Lava's coming of age journey as a young adult in the British capital. Wavering from an abstract to concrete venture between the city and suburbs trying to understand her mental state and desires; Lava uses spoken word, sampled skits combined with soft vocals and experimental hip-hop/jazz inspired productions to tell a story.
lyrics
The Garden (4:44 introduction)
Still stuck in this same old cycle,
As Luna brings a tidal wave of Dirty Thames Ditton -
Don't know my rivals,
Grey Skyline Cityscape,
and the South-West train
drills a drone in my brain -
But this throne aint the same...
As I now recognise;
the souless Black Eyes but I can't escape -
(No I Cant escape)
Yet there's a haven in my hindsight,
as I long for the Miss Dior -
I know I'm a fool for the bright Lights -
and i might
shit
I might....
Just revere the Night,
With a slight bite of that dirty Slime you're drinking,
Boy, what were you thinking -
when you fell for me?
Nah we weren't meant to be
(like not at all)
And I'm sorry but
you where never meant to see -
** l**
Fooled you on the first -
did it fucking hurt?
My souls been stripped and beaten,
left within the dirt -
Didn't want things to worse.
